How it works

Rotate 90° left, 90° right or 180°, and flip horizontally or vertically. Combine them freely — the preview shows the result before anything is exported.

Phone photos are often stored sideways with an EXIF “orientation” flag that tells viewers how to turn them. Image applies that flag when it opens the photo, so what you see is upright. The export rewrites the pixels in their final position and drops the flag, so the image looks the same in every app — no double rotation.

Worked example

A 4000 × 3000 landscape photo rotated 90° right becomes 3000 × 4000 (portrait). Rotating it 90° right again (180° total) returns to 4000 × 3000, upside down; a horizontal flip then mirrors it left-to-right.

Edge cases handled

  • Sideways phone photos (EXIF orientation 6/8) are shown and saved upright.
  • Four 90° turns return to the original orientation.
  • Flips are applied in the displayed orientation.
  • JPEG/WebP are re-encoded at your chosen quality; PNG stays lossless.
  • Transparency is preserved in PNG/WebP.
