Privacy

Your images never leave your browser.

Image processes your files entirely in your browser: no upload, no account, nothing stored — no image history, no filenames or metadata sent anywhere.

No upload. No account. Nothing stored.

In short

  • No upload. Images are read, decoded, processed and encoded by your own browser. There is no image server and no image API.
  • No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
  • Nothing stored. No image history, no saved files, no cookies, no local storage. Close the tab and your images are gone from the page.
  • No filenames or metadata sent. Filenames, dimensions, EXIF and GPS data are only ever shown to you, on your screen.
  • No location lookups. If a photo contains GPS data, Image tells you it's there — it never decodes, maps or looks up the location.
  • Clean downloads. Processed images don't carry EXIF, GPS, camera or software details.

How it's enforced

The site is built so it can't send your images, not merely so it doesn't:

  • Its security policy only allows network connections back to this site itself (connect-src 'self') and forbids form submissions entirely (form-action 'none').
  • The server only serves the application's files; it refuses any request that could carry data (anything other than reading a page).
  • Previews are temporary in-memory links (blob: URLs) that are released when you start over or leave the page.
  • Automated tests process real images — including one with GPS data and a deliberately distinctive filename — and fail if any request carries image bytes, the filename or metadata.

How to verify it yourself

  1. Open your browser's developer tools (F12) and select the Network tab.
  2. Process an image with any tool and download the result.
  3. You'll see only requests for the site's own code, fonts and icons — all GET requests with no body. No POST, no upload.
  4. For extra certainty: once a tool page has loaded, turn on airplane mode — the tools keep working, because nothing needs the network.

Hosting and analytics

Image is served by Cloudflare Workers. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Request logs contain request metadata with query strings removed — never images, filenames or metadata, because none are ever sent.

Image currently runs no analytics. If privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view analytics is ever enabled, it will never receive filenames, dimensions, formats, metadata, batch sizes, targets or image data — and this page will be updated first.
